Myrtle's Feather Rolls

Ingredients
  • 2 pkgs. dry yeast
  • ½ cup lukewarm water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • ⅓ cup oleo
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 4 cups flour
Instructions
  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water with 1 tbsp sugar.
  2. Let stand 20 minutes.
  3. Scald milk, and sugar, oleo, and salt.
  4. Cool slightly and add yeast mixture.
  5. Mix in eggs and flour, 2 cups at a time.
  6. Refrigerate dough overnight.
  7. Roll out dough into rectangle.
  8. Butter the dough.
  9. Roll up like jelly roll.
  10. Cut into 2 dozen pieces.
  11. Put each piece into greased muffin tin.
  12. Let stand ½ hour.
  13. Bake in 400 degree oven for 10 minutes.
