Boston Brown Bread

Ingredients
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • ¾ cup raisins
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 & ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 &1/4 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • ¾ cup molasses
  • 1 egg
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven at 350 degrees and grease a 5 by 9 metal loaf pan.
  2. Combine flours, raisins, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Stir in yogurt, egg and molasses until batter is just mixed.
  4. It will be very moist.
  5. Bake for 55 minutes, or until it passes the toothpick test.
